As it is #worldwildlifeday we thought we would sha As it is #worldwildlifeday we thought we would share how the Bird Brick House team are connected to the wildlife in the local area. 🦉 🦜 Duncan and @jennymccutchan monitor barn owls since 2003 in the east Sussex area. This data is sent back to the BTO at the end of each season and this data helps the BTO understand how the Barn owls are fairing with the changes in the weather and ecosystem. This morning Duncan and Jenny McCutchan did a 5 minute recording of the bird song at 6.30am at BBH HQ, this what we heard: Great Tit, Blackcap, Pheasant, Canada Goose, Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Jackdaw, Black Bird, Song Thrush, Robin, Rook, Wren, Wood-pigeon and House Sparrow. This is not bad for 5 minutes! Our workshop manager, @andypellingphotography has an eye for taking all these fantastic wildlife pictures you see! We used the #merlinbirdid app for the identifications, we highly recommend you take 5 minutes out of your day to relax and see what bird you have in your area, you will be surprised! Can you beat 14 different bird species in 5 minutes? The Cormorant (2nd image) is #birdoftheday on the #Merlinapp and a daily visitor here!
